Calling is the quickest way to reach a contractor. If you'd rather write it out, send the form and a contractor will call you back.
Before you call
It helps to have:
- Your street address, and whether it's inside Midland or Odessa city limits
- Whether the house is on a slab or has a crawl space, if you know
- What you've seen: cracked brick or drywall, sticking doors, sloping or bouncy floors
- When you first noticed it, and whether it changed after a storm, a leak or a felt quake
- Any earlier foundation work, warranty papers, pier logs or inspection reports
Cracks opening fast, or a door that jammed overnight? Sudden change can mean something other than slow soil movement, such as a leak under the slab. Keep people out of that room and call.
